Sony Xperia Go ST27i, has a 3.5-inch screen, with a resolution of 320 x 480 which has been coated with Scratch-resistant glass to provide protection from scratches, giving you the convenience of watching video. Powered by a dual-core 1GHz Cortex-A9 powered by NovaThor U8500 chipset, and 512 MB of RAM that will give you the ease of running applications and graphical display of the maximum on all the features. In terms of connectivity supports GPRS, EDGE, 3G and HSDPA and seeing as you can on the internet anywhere at any time, and is also equipped with Wi-Fi.

In this post Smartphone Clinic will provide a tutorial on how to root the Sony Xperia Go ST27a / ST27i. This tutorial works on 6.2.A.1.100 firmware. This will works on Both Locked/ Unlocked bootloader device! Root your device at your own risk.


  • USB cable
  • Make sure the battery is at least 70%
  • Enable USB Debugging, by open Settings > Developers Option > USB Debugging
    If Developers Option is hidden, go to Settings > About Phone > Built Number (tap on it for 5-8 times)
  • Enable Unkwon Sources from Menu > Settings > Security > Enable Unkwon Sources
  • Necessary USB drivers for Xperia Go should be installed on the computer
  • Download and Unzip DooMLoRD Easy Rooting Toolkit (Link available in this post)

Sony Xperia Go ST27a / ST27i (Root Tutorial)

  • Connect USB cable to your device and then connect to PC
  • Run the DooMLoRD tool by double-click on runme_win.bat (for Windows), Linux), (for Mac).

  • Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the process to be complete.
  • After rooting is over the device will restart
  • If the SuperSU App exist on your Application Menu on your smartphone it means you’ve succesfully rooted your device.
