Root Sony Xperia Tablet Z SGP321 / SGP311 / SGP312 / SO-03E using Doomlord – Sony showed off its latest Android tablet, the Xperia Tablet Z, at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain. Sony not only claim Xperia Tablet Z as the world’s thinnest tablet with a thickness of 6.9 mm, but also can survive in water depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. Xperia Tablet Z previously been introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2013 in January.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z pricing at a price of 499 dollars for 16GB and 599 dollars for the 32GB capacity, both for the WiFi-only models. Xperia Tablet Z has a 10.1-inch screen size with a full-HD screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels. The display is equipped with Mobile Bravia Engine 2 engine, a technology that is commonly embedded in flat screen television Sony Bravia series. The tablet weighs 495 grams is reinforced with a quad-core processor Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro 1.5 GHz speed, and 2GB RAM. All that runs the operating system Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean).

In this post Smartphone Clinic will provide a tutorial on how to root the Sony Xperia Tablet Z SGP321 / SGP311 / SGP312. This tutorial works on 10.1.C.0.370 and 10.1.C.0.307 firmware (10.1.E.0.265/ 269 for SO-03E).   • USB cable
  • Make sure the battery is at least 70%
  • Enable USB Debugging, by open Settings > Developers Option > USB Debugging
    If Developers Option is hidden, go to Settings > About Phone > Built Number (tap on it for 5-8 times)
  • Enable Unkwon Sources from Menu > Settings > Applications > Enable Unkwon Sources
  • Necessary USB drivers for Xperia Tablet Z should be installed on the computer (including ADB drivers).

Root Sony Xperia Tablet Z SGP321 / SGP311 / SGP312 / SO-03E using Doomlord

  • Connect USB cable to your device and then connect to PC
  • Run the DooMLoRD tool by double-click on runme_win.bat (for Windows), Linux), (for Mac).

  • Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the process to be complete.
  • After rooting is over the device will restart
  • If the SuperSU App exist on your Application Menu on your smartphone it means you’ve succesfully rooted your device.
