How to Reset the Drum Counter on Brother HL-L5100DN Printer – Brother as one of the companies engaged in the field of IT has just introduced its newest line of mono laser printer products. This product line consists of 3 mono laser printers and 3 multifunction printers to provide the speed and ease of printing documents for business scales that have high print volume requirements. The new mono laser series is designed in such a way that it has higher efficiency and better cost savings, supporting monthly print cycles of up to 150,000 pages per month with toner capacity capable of printing up to 20,000 pages of paper.

Three new mono laser series introduced by Brother include HL-L5100DN model, HL-L6200DW, HL-L6400DW. While the three multifunction models include type DCP-L5600DN, MFC-L5900DW, MFC-L6900DW. Compared to previous laser printer series, the new series has a maximum print capacity of 600 percent and a 66 percent higher toner increase. Trays belonging to the new mono laser series can also accommodate paper up to legal size, with the tray being extended from A4 size to Legal size. The maximum capacity level that can be accommodated by this latest mono laser product line is also higher by being able to accommodate up to 520 papers and can be added two trays or tower tray that can accommodate up to 2,080 papers.

When replacing a new Drum on Brother Printer usually appears the following message: Replace Drum, Drum End Soon, Drum Near End, or Drum Stop. To solve the error message then you must do the way below:

  • Turn on the printer before starting reset
  • Open the front cover of the printer.
  • Press and hold OK button until [Drum Unit] appears on the display
  • Then press OK button again
  • Next, press the UP button to confirm the reset process
  • Once reset is selected you will see “ACCEPTED” on the screen.
  • Close the front cover of the printer and wait for it to go through its stuff until it settles on “READY”
