Preparation:

  • Make sure your phone battery is charged to 70% or more
  • Make sure you install the LG USB Driver on your PC, if you haven’t already.
  • Backup your device data
  • Enable USB Debugging, by open Settings > Developers Option > USB Debugging
    If Developers Option is hidden, go to Settings->About Phone->Software Info > build number (tap on it for 5-8 times)
  • Download and Unzip Download LG Root file on your windows computer

 How to Root LG G Flex 2 LG-H955 / F510K / H959

  • Open LG_Root folder and hold shift and right click on UPDATE SUPERSU and select “Open command window here”

  • Make sure your device is connected on the pc by copy+paste this command:
    • adb.exe devices
  • If your device is connected let’s continue. In the same command prompt execute this command:
    • adb.exe push busybox /data/local/tmp/ && adb.exe push lg_root.sh /data/local/tmp && adb.exe push UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip /data/local/tmp

  • Boot the device into Download Mode. Power off your device, When the device is powered off, hold volume up and insert a USB cable connected to the PC. (this method may vary from device to device)
    • hold down Volume Down and Power buttons (for H959 and F510K)
    • hold Vol UP, Power and Vol Down simultaneously (for LG-H955)
  • Wait for the drivers to install
  • After it finishes, double click ports.bat on LG_Root folder (This will give us the COM port in which our device is connected we are looking for the Diag port) and keep the other command prompt open.

  • Keep the device in Download mode, and then run Send_Command.exe and copy+paste following command But replace COM4 with the COM number you found in COM port:
    • Send_Command.exe \\.\COM4
  • Finally, run the following root script:
    • sh /data/local/tmp/lg_root.sh dummy 1 /data/local/tmp/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip /data/local/tmp/busybox
  • When its done you may pull the battery to get the device out of Download mode
